I leave for D.C. when did you say???? TOMORROW??!?!?!?!?! I'm doomed. That's all there is to it. I'm doomed.
It's 24.5 hours to take off and I need to:
figure out for once and for all what needs to be packed
pack
make the patterns and get all the stuff together to stitch and finish two ornies
pack
do 412 hours of office work
pack
remember to take the office laptop when I leave tonight
pack
decide what I'm making for a cookie baking festival 2 days after I land and report said ingredients to my sister for pre-shopping
pack
do another 412 hours of office work
pack
figure out what is plane-stitchable
pack
[Can you tell what's weighing heavily on my mind?]
See? I'm doomed!
Ok, breathing ..... in .. out... in ... out.... in .... out ... in......
I have several things I owe showing, but for right now here are the 2 I have pics loaded of --
From our friend, Shelleen I received this lovely packet as part of a small group exchange--
Look at that pengy. Isn't he just the cutest?!
Thanks, my Social Butterfly! For everyone else not in the know, Shelleen was my very first ever secret pal. I never had one in school so when I joined Cross Stitch Pals and found my way to their Secret Stitcher page, I "met" Shelleen. All I knew about her for the 4 months that she was surprising me with packages was that she was also on the go -- bar-b-ques, pool parties, dinner events, .... I logically took to calling her a social butterfly.
From Lynda as part of the Friendly Stitchers Christmas ornament exchange I got this beauty--
Bless you Lynda, it is absolutely beautiful, but then again we all know that you are one of the world's great stitchers! At the moment it's here on my desk leaned against my Star Trek (TNG) clock (an essential desk item for when I need an alarm) and balanced precariously on piles of paper that people keep thinking I simply must have. Lynda, thanks for beautifying my office!
I'll talk to you all post landing... just keep your fingers crossed for me and my packing!
